What’s so great about your chickens?

Hi! I am a college student who is writing a paper on why chickens are the best pet to have (they should not have let me choose my own topic lol) and so I was wondering what makes your special birdies so great to you? What are their personalities like? What do they like to do? I couldn’t take my ladies up with me to college but here’s a picture of them from winter break as a thanks! (x)
