Minor annoyance while scrolling...

I got my Note 8 about a month ago and it's been a great little device but one thing has always irked me about it and I'm curious if there's a way to change that.

So when scrolling, a little rounded drop shadow will appear at the top or bottom and sides. This happens constantly even if I'm not hitting the top/bottom of a page and. While only a minor annoyance, it still is rather jarring and I'm constantly on the lookout to see if this is something that can be disabled but I've come up with nothing so far. I'd post a screenshot but it happens far too fast for my screenshot timing so here's a poorly drawn diagram of it.

Anyone here have any ideas/suggestions? :x
