Discussion: What exactly is it that draws us to the Harry/Ginny pairing, beyond the canon?

I guess what I'm trying to get at is: why do we strongly identify with the H/G ship? What does it say about the type of person we are, and what we are looking for in terms of a partner or relationship? Does it maybe even say something about the kind of morality or philosophy that we may subscribe to or believe in? And if anyone, who do we identify with in the pairing: Harry or Ginny? Or even both? And why?

Haven't seen this really discussed on this sub, so I think it could make for some interesting discussion. I've seen this discussed with respect to the Ron/Hermione and Harry/Hermione pairings, but I think less so regarding H/G.
