CA Skills

There are some important CA skills out there such as figuring the most cost effective way to get drunk (spoiler, it's always bottom shelf vodka, that'll beat out Steel Reserve in price per mL of booze) or appearing sober. Another one I find handy is what I like to think of as Conjuring Food from Nothing, aka biscuits. They've saved my ass from starvation a number of times, plus they're tasty.

Biscuits are really easy, all you need is a bowl, flour, a fat, and baking powder (or cream of tartar and baking soda). All crap you probably have laying around. Preheat your oven to 350F. Mix (1/3c) flour, (1 TBS) baking powder, and (1 tsp) salt (optional) in your bowl. Then cut in the (1 TBS) fat if ideally you're using a solid fat like cold butter/bacon fat or lard (smooshing solid fat through a fork works well). That makes it flakey. Otherwise just pour in any old fat. Add milk (tastier) or water until you barely have a dough, don't mix it too well. Drop that shit in a somewhat biscuit shape onto an oiled piece of tinfoil (less dishes!) and let bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Boom! Tasty biscuits when you've spent all your money on booze. Making a nice white gravy for them isn't hard either but that'll be for another time. Also, breakfast sausage and bacon will cook in 20 minutes @ 350 too, so you can actually throw all the stuff into the oven for an awesome breakfast sandwich.

For those of us trying to lose weight, the biscuits, 2 slices of bacon, and 2 sasuage patties runs about 650 calories! When I make this it's a two meal day max. The biscuits alone are 200-300 calories depending on what goes in them.

So that's my handy tip. Anyone else have any handy drunk tips?

bonus tip: Courtesy of my Uncle Tony, may he rest in peace, if you're driving drunk and see double, close one eye.
