how honest should i be about my symptoms and emotions in a r/s?

i've been in a long distance r/s with a guy for about a year now. i've been very open about certain things that i struggle with (e.g. abandonment issues, paranoia, need for validation, suicide idealisation) and he has been very supportive and understanding. for example, ever since i told him how i feel about getting ignored he's been much more responsive and texts/calls me a lot more often which has really helped. but these past few months i've been dealing with irrational jealousy, mostly towards his past relationship, or when i see him interacting with female friends. i haven't told him about this since i am afraid of his reaction and i fear coming off as possessive, controlling or manipulative... and the question is, should i? he has not given me ANY reason to be jealous at all. in fact, even though in the beginning we were in an open relationship, he told me he was not interested in being with anyone else. we aren't in an open r/s anymore, yet i have begun struggling with very intense feelings of jealousy. i know it is a manifestation of my own insecurity and might be linked to my fear of abandonment, but i don't know how to deal with it. i don't know if it's something that i should talk about with him. any advice would be appreciated
