Dell - hardware encryption

Hi,

HP has Secure Encryption (require G8+, specific controller, licence, etc), any experience with it? Flaws?

We bought the first Dell (R940 with H740p) and found, we can't use any hardware encryption (only SED discs, but in SAS SSD - only 1 variant possible). What Dell offers in comparison with HP Secure Encryption? Support said, nothing can be done - just swap for SED disc or use encryption from OS...
