Maybe a dumb question but I don't think so.
Did Michael put on a show? Was he not really that dumb?
I know there's already a popular theory about this based on Michael getting serious at some moments when it is warranted. Like getting worried about the golden ticket thing. Or something like "Pam they're all big clients" <Pam says client name> oh that's actually a big one and he gets serious.
But my theory is a bit simpler. In Michael's final episode when Dwight feeds him a bowl of bull testicles, then the convo moves on to bears in Colorado and Michael jokingly asks if he should keep a pepperoni in his pants and Dwight getting mad trying to explain and Michael is smiling.
Was that supposed to imply that Michael was playing the fool all along? I'm not suggesting he was some kind of Genius I do think he was probably immature, but I do believe he might have been exaggerating in front of the cameras.
So what are you find people think?
