Trying to switch jobs. Found our the non-compete I signed with my current employer is VERY far-reaching. [AL]

I'd be switching from a payday lender to a bank, my last interview is tomorrow. Today I discovered that my current employer is tied up in a state (not my state) lawsuit because the non-compete is way too broad. It covers payday advance services; check-cashing services; pawn or title pawn services; secured or unsecured credit lending services; secured or unsecured installment lending services; or essentially any other consumer lending service or money transmission service. All for a year after you leave. I have requested a copy of the agreement from HR to verify.

So obviously the bank is out, but I can't even take a job at Walmart under that agreement, since they cash checks and do money transfers.

I'm not really sure what I'm looking for here, options, I guess? Should I just go through with the new job and hope my current employer doesn't come after me in court? FFS I make $10.50 an hour, they can't give that much of a shit, right?
