I watched Prince of Egypt What the f*** this is a kids show?

I remember as a kid watching this cartoon and not thinking twice about it. Now that I'm an adult and I understand what I do now, this cartoon is messed up. How can you justify a god who is so vindictive and jealous that it causes him to kill every first born son of the Egyptians. How does that not even tingle your morality senses. People argue all the time that the Bible supports a higher moral standard but how is any of this just? On top of this there is very little historical evidence of any of this even taking place. If all of this really happened to the Egyptians of how meticulous they were at recording events you would think that there would be mountains of evidence of all the plagues that happen to them. There's only one Papyrus document describing the Nile river turned to blood, which looking at that with a scientific perspective most likely means that there was an algae bloom.
