2008 Sonata Alarm Randomly Goes Off

I recently purchased a used 2008 Sonata from a private party. Upon test drive and pre purchase inspection everything was perfect. However, that same night I locked the vehicle and the car alarm randomly decided to go off. Figured it wasn’t a big deal and assumed someone bumped the car. However, the car had the same issue after locking it again. I’ve tried to manually lock the car, but that doesn’t solve the problem. The alarm still sounds at random times. I’ve began to now pop the hood before manually locking it from the inside. Seems to have solved the problem? We will see... any advice would be much appreciated. Is there anyway to not enable the alarm system ? Thanks
