Weird windows issues..

Hi all.. over the last month i have been having an issue where sometimes on boot-up i just get a black screen post BIOS etc. Can move my mouse around no problem but no pretty backround and place to type in my log in pw etc.

I have Avast, Malwarebytes + NoScript and i don't pirate so i feel like it's .. "probably" not a virus. Open to suggestions on that though..

Anyone got any ideas or had this happen before?

Windows 10, GTX 980, 1x SSD (Windows installed here), 1x HD

I do have an oculus rift .. but i don't think that is the cause for the issue
