EVA foam with.. sintra? thibra? styrene? etc? | Drossel/Robot Cosplay
[This is a repost from another cosplay subreddit, hope that's allowed! I really want to start on this cosplay in the next week to month or so!]
I'm cosplaying as a robot gal, similar to Drossel Von Flugel! I'm wearing a bodysuit then gluing EVA foam onto it. This is my first time making any kind of 'build'/armor, I'm buying myself a heat gun, dremel, etc for it.
Here's what the character looks like. I'm trying to make it this glossy, smooth and plastic/metal-like.
What thermoplastic (I believe it's called) should I use OVER the EVA foam? Or should I just plastic coat it with brushes? Or should I use one of the thermoplastics just by itself? Any help would be grand! I'm new to all this, though, I definitely wouldn't use Worbla because of the cost and the texture. Thank you in advance.
Edit: The con is in late July, I might be entering a costume contest so I need to be working on it at the latest late May! So far I've just been gathering the things I need and sketching out designs I like (I'm putting a slight spin on it!).
