Building a new workstation PC for my dad, running it by here before I buy anything.
Hey all,
I'm usually the king of budget builds (per my dad's last used build), but the reason I am asking here is because I havent built with any newer hardware than Haswell. I've built a couple of computers already this year, but it seems that this newer DDR4 stuff has some odd compatibility issues.
This RAM kit is pulled directly from the motherboard compatibility list. Also, we already have a case.
What do you all think? No gaming, just work mainly; he works from home. Went with all new because I'd like warranties and it is going to be in use for likely a very long time.
