Does Bloodborne get harder?

I picked up this game last weekend for the first time and have never played any of the souls games. At first it was hard, died couple of times on the two first bosses but the next three (blood starved beast, vicar amelia and witch of hemwick) bosses all took two tries to beat.

I am not trying to say this game is too easy or anything like that it is quite difficult, but i came into it expecting much more difficult game.

So I just want to know does it get harder than the first fibe bosses or is the whole thing about the souls game being hard a little overblown?
