Would appreciate career advice, diversified curriculum in IT, Medical and sales

Career planning

Sup guys!

I need your advice people, I'm frustrated with myself and i don't know what to do! Why am I frustrated with myself? because I cannot make up my mind on what to do and I've NEVER been in such a labile decision making situation before. I basically change my mind every two days...

My situation: I have too many options. -I was a C#.Net developer 7 years ago, i still program for myself, but not professionally since back then. -Got a master's degree in biomedical sciences. -I majored in Bioinformatics and am as such able to start working as a data scientist if i wanted to. -I was elected as faculty representative and represented my faculty for many years at the university (for internal and external matters) and so I started working as a medical sales representative about 15 months ago for a top pharma company.

Issue? I do not like the essence of my job whatsoever. I don't like selling, i'dd rather help people; so my current situation is very unfulfilling. Yet it pays very well, my working hours are absolutely minimal (i worry that i'll become super-lazy over time). Growth in my position is barely possible as the average experience level in my department is 20 years. Other departments where i would possibly be able to work are "clinical research"/"medical" department. In both cases, I would have to start at an entry level job which pays much worse(-30%), with much longer working hours(+2), and i would have to drive 3 hours (1.5h x 2) extra per day. I have the same issues if I would move to bioinformatics sector.

Finally, I am someone who continually needs new information to stay motivated, i get bored really fast. furthermore, I dislike being limited by other people telling me what to do - or more precisely - what I'm not allowed to do (I admit that I lack discipline in this case). Finally, I am ambitious and what I find fulfilling is acknowledgement.

What would you people suggest I do? Any advice is welcome!
