Can someone help me real quick?

I am doing a book report on Erak’s Ransom and I was wondering if during any time from the first book to the last was there controversy surrounding the books like maybe with religious groups or any group not liking the series? This would help me so much and if there wasn’t any then that is fine. I just don’t remember the books being released, I just read them afterwards. Thank you
