Course suggestions for math minor (with CS major)?
I would’ve loved to have done a dual major with CS/Math, but I’m a full year behind in the CS curriculum because I spent my whole first year as an engineering major. Because of this, I have just enough free elective credits remaining to fulfill a math minor, so I’m curious what classes would be the most worthwhile.
I’m definitely considering Intro to Data Mathematics and Data Analytics, but it looks like those are both spring only so I’m not 100% sure I’m gonna be able to take both. I’m also thinking about linear algebra, and considering taking Probability Theory next semester because that seems to be the most interesting of the MATH/MATP 4000 level courses offered in the fall.
Also, I’m kinda split between going down the data science and software engineering paths in CS if that helps at all with which courses to choose.
