Could I use two RCA splitter cables to have two video game consoles on one audio input on my receiver?

Open | Audio

Good day!

I'm trying to hook up two S-Video consoles' audios to the single available L/R port pair on my receiver. Would there be an issue with using two of these RCA cable splitters below, one in each of the destination ports, to have both consoles on one input? Only one console would ever be in at a time, but I'm just worried about if there's a possibility of "back flow" damage from having them both plugged in to one port. I'm looking to avoid having to buy a splitter box because I'm already using 8-input and 3-input splitters.

Or a piggyback cable
