17F, a few EMS questions

Hey! It’s pretty much my dream to work in EMS, and I feel like I’m getting closer slowly. I have so many questions on everything though, so pretty please bear with me!

• I’m getting into SAR (Search and Rescue) for my County. Have any of you had experience with SAR teams? Are SAR skills transferable to EMS?

• What is the best route to take in terms of education? What really are the options?

• What was your route to EMS?

• Anything I should keep in mind throughout my SAR experience, future EMS education, and starting in EMS?
