Proposal Help!

Hi all!

My girlfriend and I are from Vegas and will be coming to CA March 27th-29th. I am planning to propose to my girlfriend the night of the 27th, either at the end of the pier, or somewhere along the beach.

Since I haven't really been there before, I was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions about the area, and any suggestions for a photographer to have ready?
