Any way to get rid of my brother?

My brother is 18 years old. He is loud and violent. We have called the cops and they have said that there isn't anything they can do. The kid has beaten on my (disabled) dad. He has beaten on me, too. His main targets seem to be me and my dad. My mom won't do anything about this but I sure will. So...what can I do to get this little shit out? I'm in Florida.
