Has anyone else actually learnt about pets behaviour, what certain things mean from them, and why the they do it, just form owning a pet themselves?
Had my cat for 3 years, female tabby. Within the first...year maybe, I learnt so much about 'cats' behaviour in general, why they do this or that, and act in a certain way. Just by owning a cat, I have learnt so much about them! I could even become a vet I have so much knowledge haha!...alright well maybe not that much.
Just to give a few examples;
-When my cat would go to sleep, she would do that kneading thing with her paws on the surface she was sleeping on. If I remember correctly, something about them having milk from their mom and it means comfort or something? -Different tail positions, under body means warning, to the side means another thing...there are many different ones -Cats chirping as they see a bird/prey in the garden -From researching a video, cats communicate with their eyes
Its crazy to think I never used to know any of this...mainly because I didnt need to as I didnt own a pet. But I thought it was cool to share.
What 'knowledge of wisdom' have you learns from owning a pet? Would be great to hear them!
