Has This Ever Happened?

Since Jessica and Sarah's departure is causing so much chaos, I wanted to know if this ever happened before? Like on social media? I love seeing how much people love these two characters and I wanted to know if any of you were a part of Grey's when Derek and Cristina left the show. Because I was one of those that binge-watched on Netflix and started watching on television during season 12.

Did you guys know beforehand, or were their finale eps the time you knew they were exiting the show? I kinda wish they didn't tell us they were leaving, because now I don't want to watch the rest of the season. I still might because I want to see both their exits since I love these characters so much. Sarah is literally my favorite actress from the show.
