How does one know when new contacts (created on iPhone), is synced with an exchange account?

Hello!

Basically the title. I once had an exchange account, but remember it to be a little confusing to administrate on IOS. Does anyone have some experience to share? Especially on the subject from the title; whenever I create a new contact on my iPhone, how can I be certain it will sync with my exchange account?
