Prospective Applied Psychological Sciences Masters student with a bunch of questions...

Hi all! I have recently been accepted for an interview for potential acceptance to an Applied Psychological Sciences Masters program at Pacific University in Oregon. I am at the very beginning stages of learning more about this type of program and everything that this type of education/career path entails. Could anyone who has gone down this path at Pacific University or anywhere else, provide any information about research psychology and what some exciting specialties or emerging fields are that this type of masters program would be prepare me for?
