Trouble making decision about relationships/commitment

Hi all,

I have (had?) been in a relationship with someone I believe to be an HSP for almost a year. It was a very caring relationship and I trust him as a person so I genuinely believe his commitment issues don't stem from wanting to play the field but rather his sensitivity.

He has trouble making decisions in general and takes a long time in other areas of his life as well.

So in our relationship, he feels that he cares for me deeply but needs time and space now to figure out if he wants to continue the relationship because he is "unsure" and "hesitant" and has "doubts."

If a friend was telling me this about her relationship, I would call the guy all kinds of names and tell her to let him go. But because I know him, I genuinely believe this confusion to be very real from him and trust that he needs this space to be able to come up with a decision comfortably.

Anyone HSP have trouble deciding on relationships? What works/helps?
