Notes:

  • Sidney Crosby's lowest P/G total in a single season is 1.063 in 2015-2016.
  • Evgeni Malkin's only season averaging fewer than 1.0 P/G was 2010-2011, when he scored 37 points in 43 games before tearing his ACL/MCL.
  • Alex Ovechkin averaged over 1.0 P/G in 9 of his previous 12 seasons, and is on pace for his 10th season of such a feat. It would be his first since 2014-2015.
  • Patrick Kane is in danger of his streak ending at 5 seasons. He currently has 66 points in 70 games.
  • Nathan MacKinnon has already clinched 1.0 P/G this season. Many other players may join this list, including Claude Giroux (who needs 1 more point). Steven Stamkos only played a handful of games last year, but I included him on this list since he is likely to do so for the second straight year (3 more points in 13 games required).

This was fun to compile, even if all it says is "Sidney Crosby is really good at getting points".
