Need some advice on whether this was normal

So I had my cage on for a week, things seemed to be going OK. I took it off briefly to check on the goods and I found that there was quite a bit of fluid that appeared to have built up in the underside of my scrotum. It hung almost separately to my balls and was collected in one or two clumps.

There was no pain or discomfort to them but it didn't look right so I didn't put it back on. It went away within the next 24hrs but it left me with a dilemma; Do I chase the chaste dream or is this something that is telling me to stop? Is this normal?
