None of the fixes, or guides are fixing the stuck on "update" issue

All my USB drivers show they are up to date in device manager (windows), have held down left key to bootloader mode. It shows bootloader then says updating mcu but then the ledger restarts to "update" and ledger manager says "unable to update firmware"... When I plug in doesn't even give me the enter pass key option. Just straight to update. Have Uninstalled ledger manager, restarted comp, restarted ledger manager. Updated every driver known to man. Windows 10 pro is what I'm on. Any help would be appreciated

Update: after leaving it plugged in on "update" all night I came in to find it still said update. I unplugged it plugged it back in and it continued the installation process. So things may still just be really back logged. But I'm good to go. Thanks for the input guys.
