Something we can all agree on...
Something we can all agree on: No one is perfect.
I think the big debate we are having tends towards "Trump is Bad!" vs. "No, those guys are bad!"
I think we're missing the boat when we discuss who is bad or good.
After all, when the Savior was called "Good master" he denied it, claiming that only God is good. If the Savior won't even call himself good, what chance do we have? Let's just accept the fact that we're all bad and move on.
What we should be debating, instead, is issues. We should be talking about what we feel is important, not who we think are bad or good.
For instance: I think it's really important we hold people accountable who hold high office and violate our laws. I think we can all agree on that. We can debate over whether or not so-and-so broke a law, but in the end, we should be talking about process and not need to attach any names. IE, I think if someone is going to be accused of a crime, we need evidence, then we need to investigate it, and then we need to get a grand jury to issue an indictment, and so on. I don't think trying people in the court of public opinion does anything but divide us against each other.
