Freesync not working. Any ideas?

I'm using the average preset at 2k and getting 60 fps constant, but whenever I start the game or after it's loaded turn my monitor off and back on it'll display via the monitor's HUD that Freesync is disabled and only activated between 35-90 fps for this specific monitor. I have the fps needed, but freesync just won't enable. V-sync is enabled in-game and also forced to be on through the Crimson software.
