Question about Quick Play

Hi, I have a question. I was 2300 (started at 1939 lol, I don't play a lot of comp) sr more or less and I constantly get paired with diamonds and high plats when i play Quick Play.

Why is that happening? It's getting really frustrating... I can't even have a chill game in qp that I get stomped by people better than me.

I feel like the only option to have a fair match is to play Competitive at this point... but this whole sound really stupid to me.

If anyone has any suggestion it would be really appreciated. Thanks
