Struggling with Riven in laning phase

So, I used to be a low diamond adc and recently picked up Riven cause I wanted to try something new, I have 50k points on her atm, and im legit feeding every game, im always falling behind in laning phase.. I dont get it, how do you play this champ on a decent level? Im taking
