Transgender people should be allowed to serve in the military

This might actually be a fairly popular opinion, but I don't get a whole lot of differing opinions.

So, my roommate, a fat 350 + pounds 40 year old moron of a man, tried to tell me that trannys shouldn't serve in the military.

"For what reason?"

"well, 50% will commit suicide."

Firstly, I have great doubts about this number being true, it is either straight up bullshit, or is counting people outside of the U.S. or first world countries.

Secondly, this doesn't mean anything to the individuals. Admittedly, the process at MEPs and boot camp (Only speaking of the U.S. though) is a little 'loose' as far as mental and psychological testing, and background checking.

However, it is fairly effective and can certainly be improved just for these people.

I explain this to him, and he replies

"fifty percent!" like the moron he is.

Fuck. I know this is a lotta personal rage but my points still stand.

He also believes that muslims shouldn't serve despite literally less than 10% even associating with terrorist organzations.
