The interviewer was good; his interviewees are idiots. The idiots were unable to even tell the same story. The interviewer seemed, to me, to be trying not to laugh at them too.

I'm a British English language teacher working in Cairo.
Hitler is quite popular here, mainly for the slaughter of the jews. Love for him has morphed since the end of the war. When the war was being fought, there was a Anti-British feeling to the admiration. Now it is Anti-Jew.
I regularly get asked in my classes whether I like Hitler. I have had a class of 14 year old boys tell me how Hitler was a good man and a strong leader (Clearly just spouting what they hear their parents say). I have heard doctors say how the poor of Egypt are a subhuman underclass that should be rounded up and gassed 'Like cattle'. I have had friends get genuinely annoyed that Allies beat the Third Reich.
People are weird here.

LOL, when the host said "Why should we, in Egypt, import these tyrannical, fascist political movements", my first thought was "yeah, you have plenty of those at home already, don't you?"
They say they want the military to control all state institutions, but that's more or less the case in Egypt already.
