On being little

Among the streets that knew my feet
and fields which waved their grass,
our moms met all our children needs
and held our hands to class
 
where little girls and little boys
met up to learn and sing
and play with all the little toys,
oh boy the joy it brings!
 
Though much has changed
and bodies shaped
to think back is to see,
to travel to the time and date
where life was oh so free.
