Camping Gear Rental Options [2018]:
Hi everyone! Please remember that you have options outside of buying cheap gear and leaving it behind as litter. If you want to do the right thing and find an affordable way to use and return some gear before getting back on a plane, here is a list of options:
-
REI: Good quality gear. Solid customer care. https://www.rei.com/stores/rentals.html#washington
-
Back40 Outfitters: A family owned company that is closely focused on concert/car camping gear rental. 24/7 flexible availability through a drop-bin system. http://www.back40outfitters.co/camping-kits/
-
Eastern Washington University: Very affordable gear if you are headed from Spokane or further to the East. https://www.ewu.edu/recreation/epic-adventures/epic-rental-program
Thanks everyone. Be safe and have a blast this year!
UPDATE (3/29): Mountain Gear has mentioned that EWU is much more equipped for these rentals, but they are still a great place to pickup gear if you'd like to keep it. REI has limited equipment available for the festival, but still worth checking with. Back40 Outfitters have mentioned that they sell out quickly, but are expanding to accommodate this year.
**These 3 are not your only options! If you can't find what you need with any of the info, here, please try another rental business in the area.
