As an avid writer and a passionate friend i can say almost assuredly that drowning blissfully is not an uncommon feeling. i feel as if the more a person writes or speaks their mind they less they drown, it feels magical releasing yourself of a weight you thought you would do better to keep than to part. However... sometimes i fear what happens when i run out of "water" to release.
aside from my thoughts on the topic i thought the poem was very well spoken for a first poem however i do believe you would benefit greatly from some grammatical improvements to secure the flow and tone of your poem it can really make a difference. continue to write!

Super cool! KEEP WRITING!
I love how you connect your metaphors. Often it is so easy to just let them overcome our writing and become the focus, but you tame yours. Well done!
I would maybe omit the words "and into my own thoughts" and "As an introvert" unless you have a stylistic reason to keep them. Cutting out certain words places emphasis on others and when it comes to a good poem, every word packs a punch.
Like I said earlier, keep writing. If you just started you have a natural gift, and refusing to use it denies the world that gift as well.
