Apparently they’re back to jacking with Arlo non-stop
Originally, smart things was overwriting my arlo rules constantly. Eventually I was able to alter the smart things rule and everything was fine. For months. Now it’s overwriting it the moment I make a change and the cameras keep being switched to notifying for audio or movement but never record. Bear in mind, I’ve changed nothing on smart things. I tried to just set up some routines in smart things thinking I could push what I want to arlo, but it doesn’t seem to have the same capabilities. Which makes sense given that arlo’s software is native to the hardware. Either way, I can’t keep using it. So I’ve had to disconnect smart things from arlo.
Why don’t they allow you to connect to cameras but not actually change anything or do anything to them? Just read the data and leave it at that? I don’t want the cameras in the smart home monitor, and never added them. Why did it feel the need to create its own rule if I wasn’t using it for that?

How did the Arlo’s get added to SmartThings without you adding them? That seems odd... if not impossible.
This is why I kept the Arlo’s separate from ST. I bought ST just to do some simple integration with some smart devices and well prefer Arlo’s own app/technology to control those cameras. I suggest trying to unpair them from ST and have them run separate again.
Sorry, I added arlo to smart things, but not smart home monitor. As in ST can see the cameras, turn on the siren, etc. but had zero reason to change modes or anything on arlo. Yet it keeps overwriting the arlo modes with bullshit. Now I’ve removed it and I might need to buy a standalone siren.
Ah, I see. Yeah ST can be frustrating...
