I hope to come back if you work on the formatting more (I know it's tough, I struggled with the same). I really enjoyed this and imagined the line breaks. The only spot I stumbled was "pre-meditated set up"... it may have been the breaks and eye tricks but also the hyphenation. With all the phrasing and imagery you used, it's impressive that it's the only spot I tripped. I liked the inclusion of some euphemisms (as long as we still call them, one man's trash). I loved the turn of phrase to close from past to present. Miasmic is not my favorite word as it's just so uncommon that it pulls away from the very poignant close.

I really enjoyed the formatting, actually. You say it's messy, and that you're still working on it, but it's really working for me. Usually when you see paragraph-form writing that doesn't have many spaces, it's hard to read, but there's something about *this* formatting in particular that makes it easy to read. I find myself pausing throughout the poem in a refreshing way. It flows very well. I also really like the imagery you presented - it's very easy to picture. You did awesome.
