The Blacklist and You; A Love Story
It's the moment you've all been waiting for.
We're changing the way the blacklist works ^but ^it's ^not ^going ^away, ^so ^don't ^get ^your ^hopes ^up
There has been constant feedback about the blacklist since its inception, and we took notes on the criticisms and ideas you all had. We have paid close attention to what was posted in the absence of the blacklisted bands. It became clear fairly early on -and much, much clearer as other bands grew in popularity- that the Blacklist as it is currently wouldn't work. We debated on what the best course of action would be, and this is what we came up with.
HERE'S THE PLAN
Certain bands will still have their discography blacklisted, others will be done by album, as well as on a song to song basis. We mods have a semi-comprehensive list already, but we need you guys to give us your thoughts about the changes, as well as what you would like to see added/removed from the Blacklist. This thread will be in contest mode so that upvote/downvotes are hidden to everyone except us mods.
RULES FOR COMMENTS
-
I will make three top level comments. One for questions/nudes, one for adding Bands/Albums/Songs, and one for removing Bands/albums.
-
Any top level comments made by anyone else will be removed
-
Regarding your actual comments themselves; Please limit each comment to one band, album, or song. Check to see if someone else has already posted it already, duplicate comments will be removed, as will comments containing more than one item. Including your reasoning for your choices would help, but isn't mandatory.
-
If you agree with someones comment, simply upvote it. Do not downvote posts you disagree with, or try and debate it in a reply. Use the questions and comments Top Level Comment by me for that.
Note that while the Blacklist is expanding, there will also be some bands and albums that are freed up by the changes as well.
TL;DR there is no tl;dr, just read it.
