You discussed me

as if I were not there.

But I can't say you were wrong to

because as soon as you said 'you're sick'

i wasn't.

You made three of two of us

and I was free to do as you demand.

The you'll get betters were never

met with anything but contempt

i'll say that because

i'm sick

i don't think people treat each other fairly enough to use humane as a way to describe morality

i'll say that because i'm sick.

I don't think it's fair that i'm expected to earn a wage when i don't enjoy life

I'll say that because i'm sick.

They'll say: 'this isn't the time,

this is neither the time nor place

for such discussions.’

I will start to disappoint people

I will want to say

'you're not really disappointed,

you're sick, i've got a doctor who will tell you;

i've got a pill you can take that will make you feel great

and you won't care one bit'

But I don't

I wouldn’t dare

that would make me sick.
