So...drive club is all of a sudden fun
I bought a t80 just to use with wipeout, by the way it is bad ass. Air braking with the paddle shifters is cool. Anyway, I went back to the drive club demo and had a good time. I am an owner of the psvr since release day and couldn't handle driveclubs blurryness and now I have it ordered and on its way here.

one of my Fav Racing games hands down.
a lot of people recommended DirtVR but i didnt really enjoy the rally style racing. i LOVE the Night time Races in DriveclubVR. Freaking incredible
I didn't like rally games either. Always been an F1 - Grand Tourismo fan. But Drive Club wasn t much fun for me in VR. Once Dirt got it s VR port, I gave it a go. Didn't like it. A friend loved it and enticed me to play it more. And I actually started liking driving the Alpine in Monte Carlo... I was hooked and now it s by far my favourite game. But I can understand people not liking it. It s not a little arcade racer, you need to spend time to get good and enjoy the game!
Ooh night time races are sick in Dclub. Especially all the exhaust effects.
Omg I can't wait to play the rest of th e game. I always heard the demo doesn't give it justice and that the night time was great.
So I’ve mentioned this a few times already. And, I will continue to mention this when I see a reply like yours. I want to encourage you, and everyone that loves racing games to revisit “flat” racing games. Use to love racing games when I was young. Got into PC racing with a FFB wheel, but was limited by screen size. This was way back when the best resolution displays were the domain of really expensive computer monitors. So the best I could do was a 17” display. Fast forward to the era of relatively inexpensive, 1080p flat panel TV’s. Racing games were still just “meh”. Today, I have a modest racing setup. Playseat Challenge, Fanatec CSL, and a ButtKicker. Like some people, I was underwhelmed with the demo of Driveclub VR. Found out that the full version of Driveclub had DS4 6 axis support. Wow! What a difference! That experience reignited my love for racing games.
Let’s cut to the chase. Even with a modest racing setup, using the large cinema mode on PSVR for racing games is intense! Yes! Even non VR racing games are incredible! I’ve had many PSVR users dismiss this and say that they have a large enough TV. That’s ok. I’m not writing this for those that don’t try it for themselves. The reality is this. An 85” TV cannot compare to the virtual screen size that is measured in feet rather than inches. The PSVR’s screen is so large that I actually move my head to check the mirrors! The racing setup and PSVR really creates a pseudo VR experience. How effective is this? Enough that I bought Assetto Corsa, and Project Cars 2. I deleted Driveclub to make enough room for the additional 3 racing games and have not missed DC at all! And if you think the night racing is incredible on DC, check out Project Cars 2. You can choose weather, real and accelerated time, and real physical damage to vehicles. So I can start a race in the afternoon, and finish it the next morning. Add incredibly real weather effects, and DC saw less and less play time. Sorry so long. I tend to babble a lot. I believe Project Cars 2 has a demo you can try. Another cool point! You can have up to 31 cars, and I think 4 different classes of vehicles on track simultaneously. Pretty funny when you have go-carts and stock cars on an oval together. Just check it out.
