LG 27gk750f-b - 27 inch 240hz

Purchasing Help

I'm looking to "upgrade" to a 240hz monitor from a 34 inch ultrawide 1080p 75hz. It could be considered a sidegrade rather than an upgrade, but my main question is if anyone has any experience with it and their opinions on getting it if I just want the most frames possible for gaming. Extra info on the panel quality is welcome.

Main reasons of why I want the LG 27gk750f-b is the 27 inch screen as well as the 240hz refresh rate. I'm worried about missing the real estate of a 34 inch ultrawide.

I dont think this is a good idea.

120-144hz might make more sense, and you can still stick with an ultrawide

Sorry it wasn't clear, but the refresh rate is not my issue. I'm sensitive to refresh rate, so I can easily tell the difference between 144 and 240.

I mainly want information on the transition from a 34 the inch ultrawide to a 27 inch 16:9 if anyone has done that and why. I already know that it wouldn't be nice transitioning to a 24.5 inch 240hz monitor which is why I'm thinking about the new 27 inch 240hz from LG.

I also want to know how the monitor itself is in terms of panel quality since I can't find many online reviews due to it being quite new.

27" 16:9 is almost exactly 34" UW but without the extra width. Height is the same. Try blocking off the side bits with paper on your current screen, that's what 27" 16:9 is. Edit: look up a screen size comparison image and fullscreen it.
