It seems no one likes these pens anymore. They keep running the promo. I bought a couple few months back. Underwhelming writer at best.
Kind of confused what you mean. Isn't this basically the same pen as the Safaris and Al-Stars, just a different color and was at a premium price but now lowered to be in the ballpark of the Safari and Al-Star?
Or do people consider Lamys below the Lamy 2000 underwhelming writers?
Also, they only had medium nibs when I checked at the time of first posting and now they have broads too... Did they just find a box or something?
Good questions. I am wondering why Lamy has started such heavy discounting. For me, the Lamy LX feels lifeless. Compared to a Pilot metro, for example (I am not even comparing with higher end line ups of other brands and Lamy 2K, which is awesome). I am yet to try Lamy AL star, but I wonder whether the black coating of LX has any role to play while it should not since the tip remains the same regardless. I am myself confused at best.
It's just Lamy USA. They are changing distributors. Old distributor is selling off all its stock before the new one takes over.
