My thoughts are loud tonight and
I wonder if you can hear them
Echoing across the chasm between

The stars shine brightly and
I wonder if you are among them,
Or if you are somewhere looking up at
The same velvet sky.

The sun climbs to take its place on high and
I long to see it reflected in your
Midnight eyes, pulling me in like
The moon draws the tide.
