It is actually from a book I wrote and the character is based on the roots of the Fleetwood Mac song.  She is the Goddess of the underworld in Welsh mythology

Is this based off the Fleetwood Mac song? I feel like that might have a tangible impact on this reading. 

Without the possible Fleetwood Mac tie in I kinda get where this piece is going, but a few images felt they were abruptly bought to our attention but not really explored elsewhere or woven into the narrative. Namely *"This picture of half dark and half light"* and *"Acidity feral and relentless, claws poisonously."*

Also, the the grammar on the Acidity line is a bit yoda-ish and/or clunky. It might be solved with more attention to punctuation, but I'd think about reorganizing that line so it doesn't feel so...deconstructed.
