An Ode to the Thinkers

An ode to you who see happiness in a lion's snarl,
To you who onto yourselves relentlessly beguile,
Who think you saw love only to be let down by a meaningless smile.

You fooled yourself into thinking,
without a moment for blinking,
that love could trump logical thinking,
but in the end your heart was always left sinking.

You jump to conclusions here, there,
but each jump brings you closer to nowhere.

"Why can't I be like those who don't seem to hear,
Neverminding those around them, never in fear.
Alas I'm here with this coercive contemplative analytical sphere!"

An ode to you who seem to care when the others don't see,
To you who over-analyze but always seem to be sorry,
Don't be, I say to thee! Let your thoughts flow free!
Because without your relentless love the whole world would fall into the sea.
