Is it finished? Interesting choice to have a painting by someone who was a genius with colour done in grey scale

Yeah it's finished. Of course the colors in the original piece are amazing, but I prefer blackwork on my body, and I think my artist did a great job of achieving depth in greyscale.

I mean if you don’t care about how it’s going to look in 10 years yea shrug it off, otherwise would be a little concerned
Edit: did you look at the again of fine line tattoos before getting this?

Yeah that's definitely a valid concern! But that just the risk I took getting this piece in this style. I have seen fine line aging ruin some beautiful tattoos, but I do have another piece by this artist that has held up to aging even with fine lines.

No worries! I’m always curious as someone with only traditional pieces I wonder what people’s game plans are with tattoos that fade quicker.

He’ll just get a touch up. Tattoos arnt that hard. Anytime anyone brings anything up on the age of a tattoo, people will just take care of it and keep touching it up etc

Although true, it’s really only to a point, too many touch ups, too many times being tattooed in the same place will result in scarring and your tattoo will be forever misshapen or faded.

I've seen a similar tattoo that I liked by Zlata Kolomoyskaya in NYC. I think I may prefer your version though.
