You changed your address, you took your things.

You kept some of the linen, you took your pets.

You released all the stress, you took your debts.

You became a part of me, you took what was left.

I deleted all our photos, I took them from their frames.

I hid away all your gifts, I took the first one from its shelf.

I focused on the future, I took a deep, weary breath.

I realised the future is forgetting you, I took a final look at your texts.

We gave each other everything, until there was nothing left.
